Admin Report:
With both teams hovering around half way in the table this local derby should have been entertaining, unfortunately, it wasn't. Trevor and Kelvin spurned lots of chances before shaking hands with honours even. This set the tone with the other two matches being equally strewn with unforced errors. The 4th frame of the match proved crucial with Darren potting blue, pink and black to win after a questionable miss request by Tony was denied earlier in the frame. No one could say that it cost Tony the frame and both these sporting players rightfully respected the referees opinion.
The eagerly awaited match between Martin and Alan had an edge to it and with both players desperate to win the standard suffered. Neither played well however Alan did the business and helped his team inflict another defeat and complete the double, once again, over their clubs second team.
Hopefully peace and harmony will soon be restored in the Staines Club after all, 'its only a game'.
