Admin Report: Both teams struggled in the first four frames with lots of chances going begging. Staines couldn't argue being 3 - 1 down. In the match deciding tie Staines's Martin Court had his potting boots on starting with a run of 27 and always remaining in front. Mike Coudray had a chance to produce a dramatic victory if he cleared from 3 reds left however he mistook the scores and played for snookers despite there being enough on. He took an early 16 point lead in the second frame but Martin produced a free flowing and fluent run of 62 and looked likely to record his highest break in the league before miscuing on a routine black with 4 reds left. Ironically the black went in but the white had jumped it first, before hitting the side and top cushions then going off the other side cushion and clipping the black into the pocket. He had won the frame but was left rueing 'what might have been'.
