Away Team Report: Unfortunately I had to attend a meeting and did not arrive until 9:30 therefore I missed the first couple of games the way things turned out it may have been better if I hadn`t arrived at all! Ian and Dan were level up to the 70s when Ian surged away to win comfortably. I witnessed the last part of the second game and it appeared that Steve was not missing much and Mark was not his usual fluent self, Steve running out the winner in the end. I let Matt break off and after I just missed a cannon on the next shot, Matt knocked in a nice 35 break this set the tone for the game. After a well taken 53 and 27, I was reeling on the ropes but stuck to it and I was very pleased to wind up on 72. On this form it would take a special effort to beat Matt and I must congratulate him on his performance, well played. Sunninghill is not a happy hunting ground for us, the result being exactly the same as last year and Matt making his high break. They must enjoy playing us at home. As to our performance, I am not sure whether it is the table that doesn`t suit us or the distance we have to travel but we do not seem to play well. That is not to detract from Sunninghill`s performance they played very well and will be a handful for any team on this display. After the match the usual banter ensued and (apart from the result) was a very enjoyable evening. Hearing the updates coming in from Woking it looks like it will be another tight season going to the wire.
