Billiards Season 2026

Away Team Report:
After our bereavment at the start of the week we were not quite sure how we would play and how we would feel but The Walton team were the perfect hosts making us feel very welcome and with every game played with great spirit and sportsmaship it made for a very pleasant evening.

In the first game John and Dan locked horns, Dan started the better and took a 20+ lead with John being very unlucky on lots of occasions which made it difficult for him to claw back the deficit, Dan eventually running out the winner.

The second game was myself against Tim and after my stuttering start to the season it was nice to get a bit of fluency back in my game and I had a few nice breaks. Tim was unfortunate in what I was leaving him and was close on many occasions but as in the first match I had taken an early lead and Tim cold not quite get it back.

The final game saw Mark take on Chris and unfortunately for Chris this proved to be Mark`s night. Some very good breaks followed and all the run was also going his way. Chris was coming to the table with the balls in line or wedged to cushions but after saying all that Mark did play very well and won the game convincingly.

I must comment on the the table, I think it is one of the best tables in the league to play billiards on, very quick with a consistent throw and fair pockets.

Once again I must thank the Walton team for their hospitality and attitude to the game and we are looking forward to the return.
