Billiards Season 2026

Away Team Report:
Due to some we traffic problems we did arrive a few minutes late but after a few light hearted insults were exchanged the match started and this set the tone for a very entertaining evening. First up was Chris against Dan, with neither player able to dominate it was a very close match until around the 100 mark when Chris pulled away with some nice visits and Dan not having much to go at. Chris went on to win and he won`t might me saying that he had the majority of any run that was going but all taken in good spirit. Next up was Andy against myself, for some reason I was extremely tentative at the start and spurned several good oppotunities which would prove decisive at the end. Neither of us could find much fluency and the match was in the balance in the 130s until Andy coolly took the last 12 he needed to win the frame, if only I had taken my chances early on. Finally it was Brad against Mark and with Mark seemingly back to somewhere near his true form it was difficult for Brad to get a foothold in the match, the highlight being a well crafted 36 by Mark who was in perfect position and inexplicably missed an easy red of the spot. Brad was unlucky on several occasions but has to be careful about dropping that lipstick! I think this is quite a tricky table to play billiards on but it is the same conditions for all the players.

Once again a truly great evening with the sporting boys from Sunninghill who are a credit to themselves and the league with their attitude and we very much look forward to the return at the end of the season.
