A big win for Staines C set up by Danny Hockings excellent first frame performance against the canny Andrew Veness. He had to dig deep in the second winning on the black after a spirited fight back. Tom Rowlatt continued Staines's good form comprehensively winning the first frame and battling hard to secure the second and putting Addlestone in trouble at 0 - 4.
Mark Flatt steadied the ship for Addlestone, scraping through the first on a respotted black after Court went in off attempting a long pot. With the imminent arrival of his first child Court understandably seemed edgy and Mark Flatt cooly went about reducing his teams deficit to 2 points at 4 - 2.
