THE SEASON SO FAR BUT NEARLY OVER!!!!!
March 6, 2010
With less than a week to go there is still a great deal to be decided.
PREMIER DIVISION - WOKING SNOOKER CENTRE 'C' are 1 point in front of WOKING 'A' with the latter having an extra match to play. Both of these superb teams have reached over 100 points, which is a fantastic achievement. SEAN HARVEY hit a magnificent 102 clearance to consolidate his highest break lead but this week both DARREN FRASER and ANDREW VERNON came close with runs of 87 and 76 before both breaking down with big centuries in their sights. Another twist in the relegation struggle with ADDLESTONE securing three valuable points and closing the gap on their OATLANDS rivals. Only one of these teams can stay up by right but which one will it be?
DIVISION ONE - Pre season favourites STAINES CONS 'B' have hit the front at the right time and need two points from their last match to be certain winners. WALTON COMRADES 'A' are being hunted down rapidly by WALTON WM and need to keep composed to regain promotion to the Premier Division next season. DANNY HOCKING's 64 break is still the highest break and it will take a monumental effort now for it to be beaten.
DIVISION TWO - NEW HAW 'B' faltered in their quest for two wins to take the title by losing 3 -1 at STAINES CONS and now have to take at least three points in their last encounter to have a chance of having their name on the winners trophy. OTTERSHAW 'A' will be waiting anxiously on the sidelines having completed their fixtures. OTTERSHAW's ANDY JACKSON's 44 is the highest break and he finishes the season with a 100% record. Well done on a fabulous season Andy.

SNOOKER HANDICAP SEMI'S AND FINAL AT CHERTSEY 31st MARCH 2010.
March 5, 2010
An intriguing tournament with a semi finals lineup that is full of interest and likely fireworks. MARK LEONARD versus ANDY VERNON is a mouthwatering tie with both players capable of making match winning breaks. This match is a very tough one to handicap and to call but MARK is a prolific winner and time and time again he has defied the handicapper. I have set him to concede 21 and look forward to a titantic tussle between two of our leagues top players. The other semi is equally exciting with defending champion DANNY HOCKING against MATT COOKE. Both players have been in fine form this season and I can't split them. They are therefore playing off Scratch. This is another match that I can't call and either a good break or a mistake may decide the tie.
A great line up and a tournament that is sure to herald a worthy winner. KJ [Full Story]

SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI'S AND FINAL AT WOKING SNOOKER CENTRE 15th MARCH 2010
March 4, 2010
The prestigious Snooker Championship is down to the last four with defending champion CHRIS BARNARD up against BRAD GREENWOOD and ANDY VERNON against KELVIN JONES. Victories for BRAD and ANDY would provide a fairytale Sunninghill final but CHRIS will not be relinguishing his title easily and will be a tough nut to crack. ANDY has had a fantastic season after a year off of the green baize travelling the world, and is a strong favourite to beat the veteran Chairman who won the last of his four Championship titles in 1985. The semi finals are best of three frames with the final the best of five. [Full Story]
