Away Team Report:
Staines couldn’t make up any ground on Walton Cons “A” in this re-arranged fixture, Barnard was again to strong for Connors which is all to often as these two always seem to draw one another, his breaks of 28, 31 & 38 was enough to put the home side two nil up.
Harvey reduced the score line helped by a break of 35 in his first frame against Burgess, in their second Burgess himself produced a fine break of 35 and three one looked on the cards, however Burgess potted a good final yellow from distance but unluckly knocked the pink into the middle pocket, the yellow was respotted leaving Harvey a free ball, Harvey potted the blue as the free ball & came perfectly on the yellow, he continue to pot down to the brown but in doing so over hit it & left a tricky blue to the middle, he missed the blue & with both needing two of the three remaining colours it was Burgess who potted a good pink & black to put his side 3-1 up.
Fraser was last up against Gibbs & was in no mood to mess around his quick fire break of 45 soon corrected the score to 3-2, Gibbs got himself in front in the final frame but a loose safety shot on the final red cost him dear & the dependable Fraser cleared with a 33 clearance to level for the second time this year.
