Admin Report: Staines continued their recent good run in a match where the conditions ruined any chance of good snooker. The table was extremely slow and the standard suffered accordingly. Jones looked likely to win the first before a run of three in offs changed the frame and Rubik found his form to win on the pink. This spurred him on and he looked booked for the second as well before Jones put him in nasty snookers with one red remaining. Seeing one last chance he managed to clear the colours from the green to snatch a draw. Martin Court got off to a flyer with an early 47 break that should have been more but it was enough to seal the first frame. He continued in good potting form in the next and even threw in some excellent safeties. Chris was not having much run and Martin was quick to take advantage and make it 3 - 1 to the visitors. The last match was a replica of the first match with Tony 20 in front on the green and going well. Andy potted a superb green and cleared to snatch he frame by 5 points. This set him alight and he potted everything in the early part of the deciding frame and enjoyed a timely fluke on his way to a 36 point lead. Tony dug in and displayed great character and composure to end up winning on the pink and notching up the match winning point. An enjoyable evening despite the slow table.
