Away Team Report:
Staines have the indian sign over there old foes !!!....Staines battled to a hard fought victory over there old sparring partners in a long night at Chertsey, Connors cleared the colours to win the first against the head, Jones didn't allow this to rattle him & he bossed the second from the outset, other then a mid frame wobble & a piece of bad running here & there he deservedly levelled for one each.
Next saw Walch put the away side 2-1 up, she was also on the back foot early as Charlton established a twenty odd point lead throughout, Walch eventually required the last five colours to draw, she picked one off at a time before potting pink & black to force the respot...Charlton one the toss & put Walch in she played up & down the spots perfectly, Chartlon attempted to play the same but over hit his attempt, Walch required no second invitation & sunk the black to put the away side in front once again. Charlton to his credit continued to stay positive in the next & again hit the front, once again it came down to the colours but this time Walch played a poor safety on the brown, Charlton potted brown & blue & Walch conceded on the pink 2-2.
Next the anchor man yes I did say anchor !!! Fraser first played an out of sorts Andy Allen who in only playing one frame on the night couldn't find his shooting boots, Fraser although not at his best due to feeling a little cold was solid enough & thanks to a late surge of twenty eight put the away side on the hill...Next was Martyn McEnroy for Fraser, all-comers were welcome & after a lengthy safety exchange Fraser stepped in with a twenty odd break, McEnroy wasn't to be out done & replied with his own break of twenty as both players had good chances, but as so often for Staines the reliable Fraser potted the last couple of reds & colours to leave his opponent needing snookers on the blue, a few shots later McEnroy played a loose safety & 4-2 was shaken on.

Many thanks to the Chertsey lads for there hospitality & as always a pleasure to see them all.
